Amid the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, several music concerts have been called off. Singer Arijit Singh took to his social media handle to announce the cancellation of his concert in Abu Dhabi. Not only Arijit, American comedian-actor Kevin Hart’s concert in Delhi that was scheduled for April 30, has been called off. Adding to it, Shankar Mahadevan’s Delhi concert had to be called off amid ongoing Operation Sindoor.

Arijit Singh took to his Instagram account and wrote, “Due to recent events, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for 9 May 2025, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island. We deeply appreciate your patience, support and understanding during this time. We are working closely with the venue and the new date will be announced soon.”

Singer Shankar Mahadevan wrote on Instagram, “Due to the situation prevailing in the country, we have decided to postpone our Delhi concert, Geet Govind, which was scheduled for May 17. We will announce the new date soon. We pray to Lord Krishna for your well-being and stand firmly in solidarity with our beloved nation.”

According to Hindustan Times, singer Kailash Kher’s concert has also been cancelled. The organiser, Randhir Roy of Panache Media, said, “We are going ahead with Kailash ji’s show in Bengaluru. However, Papon’s concert on Sunday (May 11) in Kanpur has been postponed.”

About Operation Sindoor

On Thursday evening, Pakistan launched precision strike missiles on Thursday evening. Several cities in northern and western India were affected, including - Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu, Samba, Udhampur), Punjab (Amritsar, Jalandminar) and Rajasthan (Bikaner, Jaisalmer). Pakistani drones were spotted hovering in the sky in these areas. As a result, Indian air defense systems intercepted several Pakistani drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Udhampur as Indian air defense successfully intercepted the drones.

As per reports, the Indian Navy’s INS Vikrant has carried out a massive attack on Karachi port, causing significant damage to the setup in the area. Besides, India has launched missile and drone attacks in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Sialkot and Bahawalpur.
