New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk:Ayushmann Khurrana on Monday shared the first poster of his upcoming movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The picture shows Ayushmann sitting on Jitendra's lap, who is dressed as groom ans sitting on the throne as his family tries to get hold of them. The film reportedly will see Ayushmaan, who is known to play all kinds of roles, set to feature as gay man in the film. Sharing the picture on Instagram, Ayushmann wrote, "Kartik ka pyaar ho kar rahega Aman!"

Ayushmann is playing the role of Kartik in the movie while Jitendra plays Aman in the romantic comedy drama. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is themed on homosexuality and is sequel to the 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan that featured Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar. Helmed the Hitesh Kewaliya, the film also features Neena Gupta, Gajrao Rao, Bhumi, among others. Produced by Anand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar, Himanshu Sharma and Krishna Kumar, the film is slated to release on 21 February 2020. 

This is the first intance that Ayushmann will portray the role of a gay man in a movie. He had previously mimicked as a woman in Dream Girl that was praised by audiences. Speaking about the film, Ayushmann said, "The film is again one such script that will thoroughly entertain audiences and also deliver an important social message about inclusivity and individuality. Like all my films, it is again a full family entertainer," as quoted by Hindustan Times.

"It’s a film that will touch the hearts of audiences and also entertain them to the fullest. Can;t wait for its release," he added.
