IIFA 2023 Full List Of Winners: Hrithik Roshan took home the trophy for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the prestigious International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2023 held in Abu Dhabi. His remarkable performance in the action-packed film Vikram Vedha, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, earned him this accolade.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt clinched the title of Best Actor in a Leading Role (female) at IIFA 2023 for her exceptional portrayal in Gangubai Kathiawadi. However, due to her maternal grandfather's reported illness, producer Jayantilal Gada accepted the award on her behalf.
Anil Kapoor was awarded for his outstanding Performance In A Supporting Role (male) in the film JugJugg Jeeyo. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan was met with a resounding standing ovation at IIFA 2023 as he was honoured with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema. The award was presented to Hassan by renowned singer and music composer AR Rahman.
Dressed impeccably in a black suit, Haasan exuded elegance and charm during the prestigious event. The moment Haasan was handed the trophy, a wave of admiration swept through the audience as Salman Khan and other attendees rose from their seats to give a standing ovation to the seasoned actor.
The annual IIFA Awards witnessed Bollywood fantasy film Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva and the biopic Gangubai Kathiawadi emerging as the major winners of the evening. Brahmastra garnered several prestigious accolades, including Best Playback Singer (female) for Shreya Ghoshal and Best Playback Singer (male) for Arijit Singh. Additionally, Mouni Roy was bagged the Best Supporting Actor (female) award for her outstanding performance in the film.
Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan's son, Babil Khan, received the Best Debut (male) award at the event for his remarkable role in the film Qala. Babil Khan shared this honour with Santanu Maheshwari, who also showcased his talent in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Additionally, Khushali Kumar received the Best Debut (female) award for her outstanding portrayal in Dhoka Around the Corner.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi also won awards in the fields of cinematography, screenplay, and dialogue, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship involved.
