Deshmukh called for the reinstatement of the stringent 'chaurang' punishment, a law introduced by the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, to ensure that justice is served and such heinous crimes are deterred in the future.
Riteish wrote on X, “As a parent I am absolutely disgusted, pained and raging with anger!!Two 4 year old girls were sexually assaulted by the male cleaning staff member of the school. Schools are supposed to be as safe a place for kids as their own homes. Harshest punishment needs to be given to this demon. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his times gave the guilty what they deserved - Chaurang- we need these laws back in action. #BadlapurCrime.”

Two 4 year old girls were sexually assaulted by the male cleaning staff member of the school. Schools are supposed to be as safe a place for kids as their own homes. Harshest punishment needs to be given to this…
Two innocent kindergarten girls, aged just three and four, were allegedly subjected to unspeakable sexual abuse in the school toilet, a place where they should have felt safe and secure. The girls, with immense courage, confided in their parents about the horrific incident on August 12, according to sources. Prompt action was taken, and the accused was apprehended on August 17, bringing some solace to the traumatized victims and their families.
The accused has been charged under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as well as multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including section 65(2) for rape on a girl under twelve years of age, section 74 for assault or criminal force with the intent to outrage modesty, section 75 for sexual harassment offences, and section 76 for assault or criminal force used with the intent to disrobe. These charges reflect the heinous nature of the crime and the need for severe punishment to ensure justice is served and to protect vulnerable children from such monstrous acts.
