Deepika Padukone's Best OTT Movies: Kalki 2898 AD, Telugu-language science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwinm stars Deeika Padukone alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan. It marks the first installment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe, drawing inspiration from Hindu scriptures. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD, the film follows a mission to save the unborn child, Kalki, of SUM-80, a lab subject. The story revolves around the eccentric Piku, her relationship with her aging father (Bachchan), and their journey from Delhi to Kolkata. The film explores themes of family dynamics, love, and the challenges of caregiving in a humourous and heartfelt manner.

Fighter (Netflix)

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film stars Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The film is the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise. In Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorist Azhar Akhtar plans an attack on an Indian Air Force base. Group Captain Rakesh 'Rocky' Jai Singh forms the 'Air Dragons' team to counter the threat. After an attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama, the team retaliates against Akhtar's base in Balakot, leading to India-Pakistan tensions.

Pakistani pilots shoot down team members Taj and Bash, leading to their capture. Patty is reassigned after defying orders. The Pakistani government returns Bash's body, revealing Akhtar's brutality. Determined to rescue Taj, Patty joins a covert mission, successfully kills Akhtar, and rescues Taj. In the end, Minni and Patty celebrate their victory.

Tamasha (Netflix)

The romantic drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, explores themes of identity, love, and self-discovery through the journey of its protagonist, Ved (Ranbir). He is a young man who leads a mundane life conforming to societal expectations but yearns for authenticity and freedom to pursue his true passion for storytelling.

The story unfolds when Ved meets Tara, played by Deepika Padukone, during a vacation in Corsica. Tara is drawn to Ved's uninhibited persona when he sheds his societal facade and becomes the person he truly desires to be. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Deepika Padukone in the lead role as Malti, inspired by the real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The story follows Malti's journey, depicting her struggles and resilience after surviving a brutal acid attack. Chhapaak explores themes of courage, inner strength, and the fight for justice as Malti navigates the aftermath of the attack, including her legal battle and societal stigma. Through her journey, Chhapaak sheds light on the issue of acid attacks in India and advocates for stricter laws against perpetrators.

Cocktail (Amazon Prime Video)

The romantic comedy-drama film directed by Homi Adajania, stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty in lead roles, with Dimple Kapadia and Boman Irani in supporting roles. Ranveer Singh stars as Kapil Dev, the legendary captain who led the underdog Indian team to its historic win against the West Indies in the final match. The movie captures the journey of the team, showcasing their struggles, camaraderie, and triumphs on and off the field.
