Bengali OTT Releases In August: August is set to witness a packed OTT scene with numerous Bengali films and series set to release on digital platforms like Hoichoi, addatimes, Zee5, and SonyLIV. The star-studded lineup includes renowned names like Shaswat Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee and Ranjith Mallick, making it an exciting month for movie buffs.

Abar Proloy:

Raj Chakraborty's debut web series 'Abar Prolay' is set to premiere on Zee5. Viewers are eagerly anticipating Animesh Dutt, the officer of Special Crime Branch, in action as the storyline delves into the issue of human trafficking. The series features a stellar cast including Paran Banerjee, Shaswat Chatterjee, Ritvik Chakraborty, and Kaushani Mukhopadhyay. Mark your calendars for the release on August 11.

Nikhonj:

Web series 'Nikhonj,' featuring Swastika and Tota Roychowdhury, will also be released on Zee5 on August 11. Renowned television actress Ushasi Ray, acclaimed for her outstanding performances, has landed another exciting project. The talented actress is now set to grace a thrilling web series alongside Ambarish Bhattacharya. Titled 'Kumudini Bhawan,' this upcoming Hoichoi series is directed by Arkadeep Mallika Nath and stars Ushasi Ray and Ambarish Bhattacharya in the lead roles. The plot of the movie revolves around three consecutive murders that have baffled the authorities, and the heart of the mystery lies within a girls' hostel named Kumudini Bhawan. Under the watchful eye of Swatilekhadevi, nine women reside in this hostel. Police officer Hochi Sarkar arrives at the scene to probe the murders, with the assistance of Anushree, a new resident of the hostel who aids in conducting the investigation.

This series features the legendary Ranjit Mallick in the lead role. Directed by Haranath Chakraborty, this family drama will start streaming on 'Addatimes' from August 11. Ranjit Mallick, who was recently seen in Premendu Bikash Chaki's rom-com movie 'Love Marriage,' will be making his OTT debut with this series produced by Surinder Films.
