Bengaluru Rave Party Case: In connection with the Bengaluru rave party case, the Central Crime Branch took Telugu film actor Hema into custody following an interrogation session on Monday. The rave party, which took place on May 19 at a farmhouse near Electronic City, prompted the CCB to summon Hema to their office on the same day. According to PTI, she appeared before the interrogators wearing a burqa to conceal her identity. However, her responses during questioning were deemed unsatisfactory, leading to her subsequent arrest.

In her defence, Hema said, "I didn't do anything. I am innocent. Look at what they're doing to me. I did not take drugs. I shared the initial denial video from Hyderabad, not Bengaluru. I even shared a video of me cooking biryani in Hyderabad."

Earlier, Hema released a video denying her involvement in the rave party case. She claimed that her name had been unfairly implicated and clarified that she was actually at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad at the time of the alleged incident. Expressing frustration over incessant calls from reporters and well-wishers regarding her supposed arrest, she urged people not to believe the rumors circulating about her. In the video, she emphasised, "I have not gone anywhere, I am enjoying and chilling at a farmhouse in Hyderabad. Please don’t believe rumours. I don’t know who’s there, it’s fake news that I was at the party." Additionally, she shared another video on Tuesday, showcasing herself cooking at home, further asserting her innocence in the matter.

Bengaluru Rave Party Case

According to CCB sources, the rave party, initially disguised as a birthday celebration, attracted attendees mainly from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with some from Bengaluru as well. Acting on a tip-off, the CCB conducted a raid at the location, where blood samples were collected from the partygoers. Subsequent reports confirmed that 86 out of the 103 attendees, including Hema, tested positive for narcotics. Among the participants were 73 men and 30 women.

Additionally, the police confiscated a significant amount of illegal substances, including MDMA (Ecstasy) pills, MDMA crystals, hydro cannabis, and cocaine, along with high-value items such as high-end cars and DJ equipment, totaling Rs 1.5 crore in value.
