Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comedy-action drama 'Bhola Shankar' hit the theatres on August 11, 2023. The movie has received favorable reviews, with many applauding its caliber. Chiranjeevi's role is being highly praised in the film. Soon after 'Bhola Shankar' hit the theatres, it marked the sixth highest opening in the Telugu industry after 'Adipurush', 'Veera Simha Reddy', 'Waltair Veeraya' and 'Bro' and 'Dasara'.

According to a report in Filmibeat, Bhola Shankar's digital streaming rights were purchased by OTT juggernaut Netflix at a respectable sum. Five weeks after the film's theatrical premiere, it usually makes its OTT debut. If so, Bhola Shankar won't be available on Netflix until the final week of September.

According to Sacnilk, Bhola Shankar's opening weekend brought in an average of 16.25 rupees. Although this was a worrying number, the triple rivalry from Rajinikanth's Jailer, Akshay Kumar's OMG 2, and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 prevented the sirens from sounding. However, Bhola Shankar's second day's earnings were appalling.

The Indian Telugu-language action film has been directed by Meher Ramesh. Bhola Shankar is a remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam. It stars Chiranjeevi in the titular role.
