Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: The comedy horror film directed by Anees Bazmee, features a star-studded cast including Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. The film, set against the backdrop of Kolkata, West Bengal, was officially announced in March 2023, with principal photography taking place from March to September 2024 across Mumbai, Kolkata, Orchha and Leh, featuring cinematography by Manu Anand. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set for a theatrical release on November 1, 2024, coinciding with Diwali festivities. The recently released trailer has generated significant excitement, accumulating over 155 million views in just 24 hours, making it the most-viewed trailer ever. Amidst the buzz, intriguing stories have emerged, with one of them being-- the cast not knowing the film's ending and director Anees Bazmee filming two different climaxes.

In a recent interview, director Anees Bazmee shared, "People will be shocked, they’ll be like ‘oh my god!’ We have tried to make a good and beautiful film. To ensure that, we shot two climaxes, and even the production members don’t know which ending I’m going to use."

The trailer highlights Kartik Aaryan's return as Rooh Baba, featuring the original Manjulika, Vidya Balan, who faces off against him. The cast also includes Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, Rajpal Yadav, and others. The director revealed that the cast has only viewed the film up to the pre-climax. He said, "Only I and three other team members know the actual ending. We shot two climaxes, and the team wasn’t even aware of why. Initially, we shot the final climax, but later I called the team again and said, ‘Mazza nahi aa raha hai, firse karenge’ (It’s not fun, let’s do it again). The team thought it was necessary, but in reality, it was just to keep the ending a secret from them."

Director Anees Bazmee intentionally withheld the last 15 pages of the script from the actors to maintain an air of mystery for both the audience and the cast. He also permitted only a select few crew members on set while filming both climaxes.
