Jigra

Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is co-written with Debashish Irengbam. The film features Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor in a compelling emotional narrative centered on sibling love and loyalty. The plot revolves around Alia Bhatt's character, a devoted sister who undertakes a perilous mission to rescue her brother, portrayed by Vedang Raina. This intense journey is packed with thrilling action, including prison breaks and car chases, but it’s the profound emotional bond between the siblings that truly propels the story. 'Jigra' transcends the typical action film, exploring the lengths we will go to for those we cherish.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, it is a delightful blend of comedy, drama and sharp social commentary. The story follows newlyweds Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri), whose lives are upended when a private video of theirs is stolen. What begins as a personal crisis quickly escalates into a humourous escapade as the couple frantically attempts to retrieve the video. Amid the laughs, the film highlights the ease with which personal moments can be exposed today, especially in smaller towns where reputation is crucial.

Set in the nostalgic 90s, it serves as a fun throwback to a time when things didn’t go viral in an instant. While offering plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, it also provides a reality check on the social pressures one faces during a crisis, exploring themes of privacy and embarrassment in our viral-driven world.

Martin

Directed by A. P. Arjun, the film features Dhruva Sarja in a high-octane role that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The narrative follows Sarja's character as he battles ruthless arms dealers, uncovers a shocking truth about his identity, and strives to protect his loved ones and his country. The trailer has already generated excitement, showcasing adrenaline-pumping action scenes that promise a stunning visual spectacle. Beyond the thrills, the film also explores themes of self-discovery and the importance of fighting for what truly matters. As a major pan-Indian release available in multiple languages—Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi—this is a must-see for fans of big-budget action films with depth.

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story

Its a poignant documentary directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui. It explores Christopher Reeve's journey from rising star as Superman in the 1970s to the tragic horse-riding accident in 1995 that left him paralysed. Following his accident, Reeve emerged as a passionate advocate for spinal cord injury research and disability rights. The film features never-before-seen footage and heartfelt interviews with Reeve's children and colleagues from Hollywood, providing a personal glimpse into his life beyond acting. 'Super/Man' honours Reeve's legacy not only as an actor but also as a dedicated activist, inspiring vital conversations about disability that resonate to this day.

Vettaiyan

Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, it is an action-packed drama that aims to convey a powerful message through a compelling narrative. Starring the legendary Rajinikanth in the lead role, the film will be released in both Tamil and Telugu, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Abhirami. The story revolves around a maverick police officer who takes the law into his own hands to tackle a surge in lawlessness. He’s willing to bend the rules and cross ethical boundaries to restore order, raising important questions about encounter killings and their moral implications. While it presents itself as an action drama, Vettaiyan delves deeper, challenging the notion of whether justice outside the legal system is ever justified.
