Bhooth Bangla: Wamiqa Gabbi has joined Akshay Kumar for the highly anticipated horror-comedy titled Bhooth Bangla. According to a Pinkvilla report, the film, directed by Priyadarshan, is set to begin shooting in January 2025. Fans of Akshay Kumar have much to celebrate with this announcement, as Bhooth Bangla marks his collaboration with Priyadarshan after a 14-year hiatus. The film promises to bring back the nostalgia of early 2000s comedy with a talented ensemble cast that includes Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani.
Wamiqa Gabbi is reportedly one of three female leads in the film. The report mentioned that as per an insider, she is a perfect fit for the role and has garnered attention for her impressive work in the digital space. The source highlighted that Wamiqa is on the verge of a significant breakthrough in theatrical films, following her involvement in projects like Baby John. Her character in Bhooth Bangla is expected to evoke laughter among audiences.

In addition to Wamiqa, Bhooth Bangla will feature two more actresses. The film is described as a comedic caper with horror elements, centring around three women living together in a house, surrounded by the quirky ensemble of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani. The casting process is still ongoing, hinting at more exciting additions to the cast.
The production of Bhooth Bangla is set to kick off in January 2025, with plans for a late-2025 release. Before starting this new venture, Akshay Kumar is wrapping up a major schedule for Housefull 5, which includes a substantial 50-day shoot in Mumbai this November. He is also preparing for another release, Welcome to the Jungle, expected to hit theatres in late 2025.
