Bhumi Pednekar has officially completed filming for her upcoming web series, Daldal. The series, directed by Amrit Raj Singh, will see Bhumi in the role of a cop, portraying a character she describes as one of her "most complex" to date. The actor took to her social media to express her thoughts on this project, calling it a year-long journey filled with challenges and triumphs.

In a heartfelt Instagram Story, Bhumi reflected on the dedication it took to bring Daldal to life. She mentioned the team’s efforts in overcoming tough conditions, including battling the Mumbai monsoons while maintaining their passion for the project. “Hands down, one of my most complex characters. I am nervous! I had the opportunity to work with such sublime actors and creators on the show. We braved the Mumbai monsoons, shot in the toughest conditions, and yet our spirits could never be dampened. Kudos to us all,” Bhumi wrote.

In an earlier interview, Bhumi delved deeper into her role as Rita, a cop breaking barriers in a male-dominated field. “Rita is a super achiever, a glass-ceiling breaker, and a rewriter of rules in a man’s world. She is ambitious, ferociously passionate about her job, and leads from the front. These are the kinds of women I idolise,” Bhumi shared with ANI. The series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, though the release date is yet to be announced.

Aside from Daldal, Bhumi was last seen in the film Bhakshak, where she portrayed the character of Vaishali Singh. The actor is also gearing up for her next project, The Royals, which will be available for streaming on Netflix. Bhumi made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Sharat Katariya’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha and has since been recognized for her powerful performances in films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Sonchiriya.
