The producers of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11, hosted by Kiccha Sudeep, are facing legal issues after a police notice was issued regarding privacy violations affecting female contestants. This notice from the Kumbalgodu Police follows a complaint from the Karnataka State Commission for Women, which expressed concerns about a controversial task conducted within the house, which highlighted issues related to a controversial task aired in a recent episode.

This task, known as 'Heaven and Hell,' involved separating contestants into different areas, with some placed in conditions resembling a prison. The complaint from the Women’s Commission raised alarms about potential privacy infringements in a setting monitored by multiple cameras, particularly affecting the female participants. Additionally, it criticised the inadequate facilities provided in these prison-like rooms, pointing out deficiencies in food, sanitation, and the overall treatment of contestants, raising serious concerns about their welfare during the show.

The Commission contended that the conditions imposed on female contestants constituted a violation of their dignity and privacy. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, the Chairperson of the Karnataka Women’s Commission, assured that a comprehensive investigation would be conducted into the issue.

In response to a complaint, the Kumbalgodu Police have summoned the organisers of the show for an inquiry. They have requested the submission of unedited raw footage and audio from the episode featuring the controversial task. The police warned the producers that non-compliance with the investigation could lead to serious legal consequences. Emphasising the importance of transparency, the police stated that strict action would be taken if privacy concerns are not addressed.

This incident has ignited significant debate among viewers and officials alike, raising critical questions about the ethical boundaries of reality television. The conditions of the task and the treatment of contestants, especially women, have come under intense public scrutiny.

Police have taken statements from five female contestants who were placed in the 'Hell' side during the controversial task. Sources indicate that these contestants denied any allegations of human rights violations, stating that nothing was imposed on them without their consent.

Currently, the producers of Bigg Boss Kannada have not issued an official response to the police notice or the allegations brought forward by the Women’s Commission. In the meantime, the content managers have eliminated the 'Heaven and Hell' setup from the task, instructing contestants to revert to the traditional living arrangements in the house.
