Panchayat 4 On OTT? One of the most beloved shows, Panchayat, made its much-anticipated return with a third season earlier this year. Set in the fictional village of Phulera, the previous season captivated audiences and became a viral sensation, sparking numerous memes. Fans have eagerly awaited the fourth season, which is now confirmed to begin filming on October 25, 2024. The upcoming season will feature the beloved characters portrayed by Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta and Pankaj Jha, who will also play a significant role as the cunning MLA.
According to Bollywood Hungama, "The fourth season of Panchayat is all set to go on floors on October 25 with its popular characters played by Jitendra Kumar (Abhishek Tripathi aka Sachiv ji), Raghubir Yadav (Brij Bhushan Dubey aka Pradhan Pati), Neena Gupta (Manju Devi), Faisal Malik (Prahlad), Chandan Roy (Vikas Shukla), Sanvikaa (Rinki), Durgesh Kumar (Bhushan), Ashok Pathak (Binod), Sunita Rajwar (Kranti Devi) and Pankaj Jha, who played the deceitful MLA, will also have an important part in the show."
Additionally, Swanand Kirkire, who appeared as the MP in a scene from Season 3, is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming season. The production team recognises the high expectations surrounding the Panchayat series. As a unique web show suitable for family viewing, it attracts audiences of all ages. "The makers are aware of the gigantic expectations from the Panchayat series. It’s a rare web show which is suitable for the whole family and hence, gets viewership from viewers of all ages. All seasons until now have been satisfactory and the makers have worked hard on the script of Season 4 to ensure that it’s loved by the fans," report added.
Earlier this year in August, Panchayat director Deepak Kumar Mishra shared with PTI that the beloved comedy-drama has at least two more seasons planned, with production on the fourth season already underway. He mentioned that they are considering both Seasons 4 and 5, emphasizing a clear vision for the fourth season and a more ambitious plan for the fifth.
The first season of Panchayat premiered on April 3, 2020, followed by the second season, which was released two years later on May 18, 2022. With Season 3 also debuting after a two-year interval, fans are curious to see if the upcoming seasons will maintain this pattern.
