Akanksha Puri became the fourth contestant to be eliminated from 'Bigg Boss OTT 2'. Her eviction was revealed during the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode. But prior to her departure from the show, a controversial incident happened when Akanksha engaged in a French kiss with fellow contestant Jad Hadid, sparking a significant outcry on social media. The matter escalated to the point where host Salman Khan felt compelled to apologise to the audience for the incident.
Nevertheless, Akanksha Puri maintains that she regarded the act as a task that she was obligated to perform. The actress expressed during a recent interview that she does not feel remorse for engaging in a 30-second kiss with Jad Hadid on 'Bigg Boss OTT 2'.
She told India Today, "It was blown out of proportion for sure. A task could've been treated as a task itself. It wasn't a big mudda. It was a 30-second task and it wasn't a big deal for us. As artists, we do it for shows and that is something I repeatedly mentioned."
"Uski jagah koi aur contestant bhi hota, agar female bhi hoti, toh I would've done that (If any other contestant, even a female, had been in that position, I would have done the same thing). And if I hadn't done it, the same people (her teammates in the task) would have blamed me for the team's loss. It was practically possible. It was also a personal choice. Agar aapko mana karna hai, toh aap karlo (If you wanted to refuse, they were free to do so). But this was practically possible and it was my personal choice that I could do it and I did. I don't regret it. But iss baat ka itna bada mudda ban jaayega(the incident became such a big issue), I only got to know on ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’. Until then, I didn't think it was a big issue," she added.
