Jiya Shankar and Abhishek Malhan aka Fukra Insaan, have been surrounded by dating rumours following their participation in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. Recently, reports surfaced online claiming that Jiya and Abhishek are planning to get engaged and are likely to get married soon. Amid engagement rumours, Jiya finally broke her silence and dismissed them by calling them 'false'. She also dropped a romantic photo with a mystery guy, a perfect way to shut down speculations about her involvement with Abhishek Malhan once and for all.

Taking to Instagram stories, Jiya posted a picture of herself with a man, who can be seen planting a kiss on Jiya’s forehead as they struck a romantic pose for the camera against a festive backdrop. She added a red heart emoji along with a caption that read, "Let’s leave false rumours in 2025!"

Jiya's post came a day after a post by Telly Khazana on X went viral, claiming that Jiya and Abhishek were planning to get engaged soon. The viral post read, “It’s official! Fukra Insaan and Jiya Shankar have made their relationship public, and reports say an engagement could be on the way. Wishing this cute couple love and happiness always.”

With this post, Jiya has now put an end to all engagement speculation.

All About Jiya Shankar And Abhishek Malhan

Jiya and Abhishek first met inside the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, hosted by Salman Khan. Their friendship began on the show and their closeness soon sparked romance buzz. Later, they reunited for music video collaboration, which further fueled dating rumours.

However, in 2024, Jiya clarified that they were never more than friends. On her Instagram, she shared a clarification note, “Saying this for ONE LAST TIME to whoever it concerns! I’ve got nothing to do with Fukra Insaan or these meme pages. We shared nothing but friendship, & even that no longer exists… I’M SELF-MADE, LOUD & PROUD!” She also condemned the personal attacks and asked people to keep her and her family out of such narratives."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jiya Shankar has been part of several shows on television, including Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Pishachini, Good Night India and many others. She also appeared in the 2022 Marathi film Ved, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia in lead roles.
