BLACKPINK won the World Best Artist Award at the 33rd Seoul Music Awards while supergroup BTS, which is currently on a hiatus as the members fulfil their mandatory military service won the World Trend Artist Award. NCT Dream won the top award, known as the Daesang, for the second year in a row. This is a huge achievement for the group and shows their continued success in the music industry. The 33rd edition of the Seoul Music Awards was held on January 2 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The award ceremony was held outside of South Korea for the first time ever.

BTS members Jimin, Jungkook, and V won the Main Award or Bonsang while V also got the Fan Choice of the Year award. SEVENTEEN won the Best Album Award and NewJeans won the Best Song Award adding to their successful year with several accolades just after their debut in 2022.
