YG Entertainment has officially announced BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated group comeback and world tour set for 2025, marking their return after three years. The announcement comes as a thrilling update for BLINKs worldwide, who have been eagerly awaiting new music and performances from the Kpop superstars.

On September 24, 2024, YG Entertainment confirmed the group's plans, revealing that BLACKPINK will reunite for a full-group comeback and embark on a global tour. This statement follows an earlier announcement in July 2024, making fans hopeful that the timeline will remain intact with no further delays.

Simultaneously, the entertainment company shared a significant milestone for BLACKPINK’s hit track How You Like That, which has now surpassed 1.7 billion views on YouTube. Released in 2020 as a pre-release single for The Album, How You Like That has set multiple records, including the highest number of views for a Kpop choreography video. YG’s latest statement emphasized BLACKPINK’s continued dominance on YouTube, with other videos like DDU-DU DDU-DU and Kill This Love also boasting billions of views.

However, despite the exciting news, fan reactions have been divided. Many expressed scepticism about the announcement, pointing out that YG Entertainment had previously revealed similar plans for a 2025 world tour earlier this year. Some BLINKs even wondered if the BLACKPINK members were fully aware of the company’s plans, given that all four members had reportedly terminated their individual contracts but re-signed for group activities.

With the members pursuing individual projects, fans are eager to see how BLACKPINK's comeback unfolds. Though fans have mixed feelings about YG's announcement, the confirmation of a new album and a global tour in 2025 has reignited anticipation for the girl group’s return to the stage.
