IU’s HEREH World Tour reached an iconic milestone on September 22, 2024, as the singer-songwriter wrapped up her journey with her 100th solo concert in Seoul. As the first Korean female soloist to achieve this feat, IU celebrated the occasion by honouring female Kpop idols who have shaped and inspired her over the years.

During her final concert, IU HEREH WORLD TOUR ENCORE: THE WINNING, the multi-talented artist paid a touching tribute to some of the most influential female Kpop stars. As she performed the song Shh.., from her sixth mini-album The Winning, IU showcased a special VCR that displayed images of numerous female artists who have made a mark on the Korean music industry.

Among the celebrated artists were BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, alongside other iconic acts such as Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, TWICE, aespa, (G)I-DLE, LE SSERAFIM, ITZY and GFRIEND. IU personally reached out to each artist to seek their permission to feature their photos in her tribute.

The heartfelt performance didn't stop there. IU also honoured NewJeans' Hyein, Kwon Eunbi, Oh My Girl, VIVIZ, STAYC, AKMU’s Soohyun, Lovelyz, NMIXX, IVE, BOL4, Lee Hi and many more, spotlighting female musicians across different generations. Fans were thrilled as the video paid homage to both past and present stars, celebrating the collective impact women have had on Kpop.

Shh.. itself is a meaningful track, written to highlight special women in our lives. During the concert, IU explained how each vocalist on the song dedicates their part to a particular woman. For instance, IU sings for her mother, while Hyein of NewJeans dedicates her verse to her first friend. IU’s final concert was a testament not only to her personal success but also to the contributions of all the female artists who have paved the way in Kpop.
