BTS Jungkook's documentary movie I AM STILL has achieved a remarkable milestone, earning over $2.36 million in its opening week across 720 theatres in the United States. Released on September 18, the film marked the highest opening week for any Asian soloist in US cinema history, a feat celebrated by fans worldwide, as per a Deadline report.
The documentary had a strong start, grossing more than $384,000 on just one day, Friday, September 20. Fans took to social media to express their excitement, with one user on X declaring Jungkook a “Global Popstar,” highlighting his significant impact on the global music scene.
ARMYs also noted that I AM STILL surpassed the previous record held by BLACKPINK’s WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS, making it the biggest music event in US cinema for the year. The admiration for Jungkook's solo debut at the box office was palpable, with many praising his "undeniable impact."

The documentary provides an intimate look at Jungkook's creative process and emotional experiences while working on his solo album, GOLDEN. It features behind-the-scenes footage, live performances from significant venues like Times Square and Rockefeller Center and the artist's personal moments, including a poignant scene of him getting a buzzcut ahead of his military enlistment.
