JE Entertainment Desk: BLACKPINK member Jennie has made her dream debut in the series 'The Idol'. Even though the show was been receiving criticism for the highly sexualised portrayal of the characters, BLINKS have praised Jennie's performance. 'The Idol' also stars Abel Tesfaye aka The Weekend and Lily-Rose Depp and Jennie has collaborated with the two for a song for her series.
The song titled 'One Of The Girls' was released in the fourth episode of 'The Idol'.

'The Idol' revolves around a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult who enters into a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol. It is set against the backdrop of the music industry.
Jennie, who made her acting and Cannes debut with 'The Idol', said, "It’s overwhelming, but I’m grateful and thankful. All of those things at the same time. Especially as it’s the first step in my acting career, I was honoured to be able to come.”
She added, “It was an opportunity to just be myself and be brave. I didn’t really train for it, or prep anything...Sam wanted me to just be myself.”

Talking about 'The Idol, Lily-Rose Depp said, "I can’t put into words how I’m feeling right now! This show and the people I was lucky enough to make it with mean everything to me. Shooting it was the most special experience I’ve ever had, and I thank my lucky stars every day for the most beautiful little family we all built together. My idol fam you know who you are – I love you guys so much."

'The Idol' also stars Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria.
