BLACKPINK Jisoo is all set to make her acting comeback with her Kdrama Newtopia and movie Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. South Korean actor Seo In Guk is reportedly in discussions to take on the lead role in the upcoming romance Kdrama Monthly Boyfriend, alongside BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. According to a report from Edaily Korea on September 10, 2024, the actor is currently in negotiations to play the male lead in the highly anticipated series.

Monthly Boyfriend will be directed by Kim Jung Sik, known for his work on No Gain No Love, Work Later, Drink Now and Strong Girl Nam Soon. The drama is set in a world where individuals can subscribe to a virtual boyfriend, and the connection transitions from the virtual world to reality, adding an exciting layer to the romantic storyline.

Seo In Guk, known for his versatile acting, has garnered attention for his performances in Kdramas such as High School King of Savvy, Hello Monster, Shopping King Louie, and Doom at Your Service. Most recently, he starred in the web series Death’s Game alongside Park So Dam. In addition to acting, Seo In Guk is also a singer and songwriter. He began his music career after winning the reality show Superstar K in 2009 and recently made a solo comeback with his mini-album Signature.
