Fans of popular Kpop girl band BLACKPINK were taken aback when its members Lisa, Rose, Jennie and Jisoo skipped reunion with the YG family. This came to notice after some of the label's biggest names from the past came together for a heartwarming reunion after BIGBANG’s Daesung solo concert in Seoul. Photos and videos of 2NE1's CL and Dara, as well as singer Se7en, and others, went viral on social media. However, fans couldn’t ignore the absence of BLACKPINK members, given their immense popularity and ties to YG Entertainment.
DAESUNG 2025 ASIA TOUR: D’s WAVE IN SEOUL was one of the highly-anticipated concerts, which were held on April 26 and 27 at Olympic Hall. The show featured on stage appearances by BIGBANG's G-Dragon and Taeyang, who delivered performances on Bang Bang Bang and Sober. WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon and Kim Jin Woo, as well as former labelmates CL, Dara, and Se7en, among others, were also present at the event, which brought a wave of nostalgia at the venue.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Rose, Jisoo and Jennie’s absence sparked widespread speculation among fans of Kpop. Fans began to wonder if the group's hectic schedule was to blame. With a highly anticipated comeback slated for June 2025, featuring a brand-new album—their first in nearly three years—BLACKPINK is likely immersed in intense preparations. BLACKPINK members are all set to kickstart their world tour in July which means members might be pre-occupied with rehearsals.
