Bollywood Stars Who Quit Acting: Vikrant Massey recently hinted about his retirement from acting. His decision has upset many of his fans and colleagues from the industry. However, the actor has now clarified that he is taking a break from showbiz. But there are Bollywood actors who decided to quit showbiz at the peak of their careers. Earlier, celebrities followed the same path without any announcement. Stars like Twinkle Khanna to Asin, who quit acting after getting fame in the industry.
Twinkle Khanna
Khanna made her acting debut with the Bollywood movie named Barsaat which was released in 1995. She gained immense popularity thereafter and worked on over 20 movies. Her last movie was Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega which was released in 2001 to pursue her career as an author. In an interview with IANS, Twinkle said “I don't think I quit because there were no good roles. It is just a space I have left far behind. The spotlight gives me a bit of a heat stroke, to be honest.”
Asin
Asin made her acting debut with the 2021 Malayalam movie Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. She became popular with movies like Ghajini, Khiladi 786, Ready and Housefull 2 to name a few. She was last seen in the 2015 movie All Is Well. As per the reports, the Ghajini actress chose to focus on her family life after she got married in 2016.
Zaira Waseem
Zaira made her acting debut with the 2016 movie Dangal which starred Aamir Khan in the lead. She also appeared in a couple of movies like Secret Superstar and The Sky Is Pink. In 2019, the actress shared the decision to quit acting and distance herself from the limelight. She stated her relationship with her religion has been threatened.
Ayesha Takia
Ayesha debuted with the 2004 movie Taarzan: The Wonder Car. Later, she appeared in films like Wanted, Salaam-E-Ishq and Cash to name a few. Takia was last seen in the 2011 movie Mod. The actress quit acting as she wanted to focus on her family life after marriage.
Sameera Reddy
Sameera made her acting debut with the 2002 movie Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. The actress appeared in over 25 movies throughout her career span. She quit acting after getting married in 2014.
