Reports have been rife on social media about the possible inclusion of Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with South Indian sensations Sai Pallavi and Shruti Haasan, in the film's cast.

'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups' is a highly anticipated project under the direction of Geethu Mohandas and is co-produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Sharing a video on Instagram, he quoted Rumi, saying, "'What you seek is seeking you' - Rumi A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC," offering a glimpse of his character with a distinctive look featuring a hat and a cigar.
