Following India's thrilling victory against New Zealand in the World Cup 2023 semi-final, where Virat Kohli made history by scoring his 50th ODI century, Anushka Sharma, his wife, was visibly ecstatic and proud in the pavilion, applauding her husband's achievement. The actress, present at Wankhede Stadium, was later spotted with Virat exiting a hotel post the historic match.

Anushka and Virat, fondly called Virushka, was spotted leaving the team hotel, hand in hand as they twinned in matching shades of black and brown t-shirts and track pants. Not just this, the Sui Dhaaga actress, held onto Virat's arm as they descended the stairs carefully amid speculations about their second pregnancy. Anushka Sharma's post for Virat Kohli

Anushka on Wednesday (November 15) penned an appreciation note for Virat as he became the first player in the history of ODI cricket to score 50 centuries. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a post on her stories which she captioned, "God is the best script writer. Utterly grateful to him for blessing me with your love, and to watch you grow from strength and achieve all that you have and will, being honest to yourself and to the sport always. You are truly gods child."

Virat achieved this remarkable feat during the ongoing World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Continuing the momentum initiated by openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Virat reached his 50th ODI century in 106 balls, featuring 8 fours and 1 six. His innings culminated at 117 runs off 113 balls, including nine fours and two sixes, with a strike rate of over 103. This century marks his 50th in 291 ODIs before he was dismissed by Tim Southee.

With this, Virat has a total of 50 ODI centuries in 291 ODIs. He has overtaken his childhood idol Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 49 ODI centuries in his decorated career. Following his century, Virat bowed to Sachin, who was in the stands, enjoying the action.
