Boney Kapoor recently opened up about the strained relationship between his son Arjun Kapoor and superstar Salman Khan in a recent conversation with News18. The producer, known for films like 'Maidaan', revealed that despite the fallout between Arjun and Salman, his equation with Salman remains unchanged.
Boney Kapoor shared insights into Salman's role in Arjun's journey to becoming an actor. He recounted Salman's pivotal role, saying, "It was Salman who called me up and said that, ‘Boney sir, he will become an actor. He has it in him.’ He took it upon himself to see that he becomes an actor."
Acknowledging Salman's influence on Arjun's career, Boney Kapoor emphasized, "His growth was influenced by Salman." Despite the current strained relationship between Arjun and Salman, Boney Kapoor expressed his gratitude towards Salman for supporting Arjun's early career, noting that their equation might not be as good today.
Interestingly, one of Arjun Kapoor's earlier films in his acting career 'Tevar (2015)' had a song 'Superman' with lyrics dedicated to Salman Khan. It said "Main toh superman, Salman ka fan..." ("I'm a superman, Salman's fan...")
When asked if the fallout between Arjun and Salman affected his relationship with Salman, Boney Kapoor clarified, "It has not altered my equation with Salman. I still love him, I still feel that there are very few like him, big-hearted, warm-hearted, whenever we meet, we meet with love."

Arjun Kapoor is currently in a relationship with Malaika Arora, who was previously married to Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan. Arjun and Malaika have been together for about five years now. Arjun was also reportedly in a relationship with Salman’s younger sister Arpita Khan in the past.
