Bougainvillea Box Office Collection Day 6: Despite receiving mixed reviews, Kunchacko Boban’s mystery thriller has emerged as a super hit, grossing around ₹26 crore worldwide over its extended opening weekend. Directed by Amal Neerad and featuring a talented cast including Jyothirmayi and Fahadh Faasil, the film's strong performance can be largely attributed performance and direction. Even with a drop in daily collections, Bougainvillea has managed to maintain its momentum at the domestic box office.

On its opening week, Bougainvillea, directed by Amal Neerad, garnered a total of ₹13.15 Crore at the box office. The film's performance varied throughout the week, starting strong with ₹3.3 Crore on its first Thursday and facing a significant drop to ₹0.9 Crore by Monday. Despite this, it saw a slight recovery over the weekend, peaking at ₹3.05 Crore on Sunday.
As of October 22, 2024, the film had an overall Malayalam occupancy of 14.79%, with night shows attracting the highest audience at 21.25%. Bougainvillea continues to capture attention amid fluctuating viewership.
Bougainvillea Budget
The Malayalam film was produced with an estimated budget of ₹30 crores. Directed by Amal Neerad, who co-wrote the screenplay with Lajo Jose, the film draws inspiration from Jose's 2019 novel Ruthinte Lokam.
About Bougainvillea
The plot centers on a family ensnared in a police investigation linked to the puzzling disappearance of tourists in Kerala. Kunchacko Boban plays Dr. Royce Thomas, while Fahadh Faasil portrays ACP David Koshy IPS, and Jyothirmayi stars as Reethu Thomas. The supporting cast includes Sharaf U Dheen as Biju, Veena Nandakumar as Meera, Srinda as Rema and Jinu Joseph.
