Box Office Clash: The release date for Ajay Devgn's period sports drama 'Maidaan' has been rescheduled to Eid in April 2024. However, this date clashes with the release of Ali Abbas Zafar's buddy action movie 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,' starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. The sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football, has faced multiple delays in its release. Initially slated for release in 2020, the movie has seen a series of postponements.

Announcing Maidaan's release date, the film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X and wrote, "AJAY DEVGN: 'MAIDAAN' TO ARRIVE THIS EID. #Maidaan - starring #AjayDevgn - gets a new release date: April 2024 #Eid. Directed by Amit Sharma. #BoneyKapoor #ZeeStudios."

About Maidaan

'Maidaan' is a sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. The film features Ajay Devgn in the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who played a crucial role in the development of Indian football from 1950 until his death in 1963. The movie also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.

The teaser of Ajay Devgn starrer was released last year, offering a glimpse into the illustrious era of Indian football from 1952 to 1962. The teaser highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Indian football team, including qualifying for the Olympics twice. Despite facing challenges like the lack of proper footwear, the team showcased unwavering determination and dedication.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial venture 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,' featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles, is set to release on Eid in April 2024. The film, produced by Pooja Entertainment, also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The official teaser for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' is scheduled to be released on January 24.
