Next month, Seoul's prominent landmarks will be illuminated in shades of purple as a joyful tribute to the 10th anniversary of the internationally acclaimed K-pop sensation, BTS. Industry insiders revealed on Thursday that Hybe, the influential K-pop company representing the group, and the Seoul metropolitan government are currently engaged in discussions to organise a series of collaborative events in honour of this significant milestone.
As per the sources, one of the proposed plans under discussion involves the establishment of a unique event space named "ARMY Road" in honour of the worldwide fandom of the band. This designated area would be set up at prominent landmarks within the city as part of the commemorative celebrations.

Anticipating a positive impact on Seoul's tourism sector, which has heavily suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, city authorities foresee that these events will provide a much-needed boost.
BTS has consistently organised their own celebratory events and festival weeks to coincide with their debut anniversary on June 13 each year. Even during the time when in-person gatherings were not possible due to the pandemic, the group successfully hosted extensive online meet-and-greet events, enabling fans from all corners of the globe to engage and connect with one another.
Despite certain members fulfilling their mandatory military service, it is anticipated that similar events will be organised this year to commemorate the momentous 10th anniversary of BTS.
An anonymous official from Hybe told Yonhap news agency, "We're going to announce when our plans for the events are decided."
In celebration of their 10th anniversary, the K-pop group will publish a memoir titled "Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS" in both South Korea and the US. Additionally, a special commemorative stamp will be released in their home country to mark this significant milestone.
