With BTS' J-Hope's enlistment in the military, his fanbase, ARMY, has been showing great interest in his service. A fan, therefore, created a Twitter account called "HobisFoodtray" to share the pictures of meals that J-Hope eats during his military service.
The fan behind the Twitter account "HobisFoodtray" obtains information about the military food menu by referring to the standard diet provided by the 36th Division barracks, which is available on South Korea's Ministry of National Defense's public data portal. They also share photos of the meals to give a glimpse of what J-Hope is eating during his military service.

The fan who runs the Twitter account shared a photo of J-Hope's recent dinner, which included wheat rice, Sausage Jjigae, stir-fried pork small intestine & sundae, stir-fried fish cake with red pepper, white kimchi, and Instant Black Bean Ramen.
In addition to the photo, the fan translated the menu into English to make it easier for international fans to understand. Within five hours of being posted, the tweet received over 42,000 views.
While many fans appreciated the "HobisFoodtray" account for sharing J-Hope's military meals, some former Korean soldiers expressed their dissatisfaction with the post, claiming that the images did not reflect the actual quality of food served in the military.

They accused the account of using edited photos to create a false representation of military food, and argued that the food served in there was of low quality. "It's frustrating to see photoshopped images of high-quality food on Twitter when, in reality, the military serves low-quality meals," one user said. "I'd like to serve the person promoting these photos the military food I used to eat," another remarked, while a third commented, "They clearly haven't experienced real military food; if they had, they wouldn't be able to create such misleading images."
The fan who shared the pictures of J-Hope's meals acknowledged the negative response from some former Korean soldiers, who felt the images did not accurately represent the quality of food served in the military.
Some people suggested sharing more authentic images to raise awareness about the issue and potentially improve the meal quality. The fan, in response, hoped to avoid misunderstandings and clarified their intention of simply sharing J-Hope's meals with other fans.
J-Hope started his military service on April 18 at the 36th Division Recruit Training Centre located in Gangwon-do, where he is presently undergoing basic military training. Once he finishes his five-week training, he is scheduled to join his assigned unit before the end of the month.
