Alongside acclaimed movies and web series such as 'The Parasite' and 'Squid Game,' these Kpop acts have not only captivated audiences with their musical prowess but have also become influential voices for social awareness. The deep connection between Kpop groups and their devoted fanbases is evident, with BTS' 'ARMY' and BLACKPINK's 'BLINKS' globally recognized for their unwavering support.
The fan groups have translated K-pop songs from Korean to English to help their favourite idols reach global audiences who would connect with these songs and messages and have also collectively raised money for causes during the pandemic and other times.
This profound connection has paved the way for Kpop idols to make impactful contributions to societal issues, drawing positive attention and inspiring discussions globally. Esteemed organizations such as UNESCO and UNICEF frequently seek collaborations with these idols to amplify their campaigns and raise awareness.

BTS
The global phenomenon BTS, known for winning hearts since their debut, has consistently used their platform to address crucial issues. From advocating mental health awareness to supporting environmental conservation and challenging stereotypes against Asians, BTS has been at the forefront of impactful initiatives.
Their 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign, launched in collaboration with the Korean Committee for UNICEF, focuses on spreading messages of self-love and acceptance. BTS, as the first Korean artists to raise funds for global campaigns, donates a portion of their income and all profits from the sale of goods. Their collaboration with Samsung's 'Galaxy For The Planet' campaign in 2022 further emphasized their commitment to a better future.
BTS's invitation to speak at the White House and a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden during Asian Heritage Month showcased their dedication to fostering inclusivity and combating hate crimes.

In 2021, BLACKPINK was appointed goodwill ambassador for the 26th U.N. Climate Change Conference, where they passionately urged world leaders to address climate change seriously. The Kpop girl group BLACKSWAN, comprised of members Fatou, NVee, Gabi, and Sriya, demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility. In response to the tragic train accident in Balasore, Odisha, they expressed condolences and pledged to donate a portion of their album 'That Karma' profits to the victims. This act of compassion reflects BLACKSWAN's dedication to giving back to the community that has supported them.

In 2020, Red Velvet, consisting of Joy, Yeri, Irene, Seulgi, and Wendy, stepped up as goodwill ambassadors for the "International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies."
