BTS is once again teaming up with UNICEF for a noble cause. The global Kpop sensation and the United Nations Children Fund have announced the '#OnMyMind initiative', marking the second chapter of their impactful Love Myself campaign. This new endeavour aims to enhance and support the mental health of youth worldwide.
To kick off #OnMyMind, BTS, along with their label Big Hit and UNICEF, are offering participants the chance to send electronic postcards via the Korean Committee's UNICEF website. These postcards can share personal stories, thoughts, challenges and more. Selected e-postcard submissions may be featured in the website's gallery, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.
BTS initially partnered with UNICEF in 2017 for the Love Myself campaign, named after their album trilogy. The goal was to create a safer world for children and teenagers, free from violence, allowing them to lead happy lives. In 2022, to commemorate the campaign's fifth anniversary, the septet – RM, V, SUGA, Jhope, Jimin, Jung Kook and Jin – released a message for ARMYs. They urged ARMY to continue loving themselves and to extend that love to others.
This new web campaign from @unicefkorea is so lovely. They've created a space where you can share anything on your mind: happy, sad, or challenges you're facing. I'm forever proud of BTS for their ongoing Love Myself and mental health messaging 💜 #BTS #BTSLoveMyself #OnMyMind pic.twitter.com/t8Vl8vM5Rq

SUGA expressed his delight and pride that the Love Myself message resonates with many people, but also acknowledged that some may still struggle with self-love. Jhope encouraged fans to reach out and teach others how to love themselves, while RM expressed confidence that ARMY would continue supporting the campaign to spread positivity.
Since its inception, ARMY and BTS' efforts for the Love Myself campaign have raised over $6.4 million (8.9 billion KRW) as of March 2024, highlighting the profound impact of their partnership with UNICEF.
As the group completes its mandatory military service, their unwavering love for fans has not been affected in any way as is the case for their devoted fanbase. The eldest BTS member Jin will be discharged from the military in less than fifty days followed by Jhope in 2024. The rest of the members will be discharged from the military in 2025.
