BTS Jhope, known for his infectious smile and upbeat personality, recently stole the spotlight at a military ceremony. On April 12 KST, a special event was held at the 36th Infantry Division in Gangwon-do, where military bands and honour guards from various divisions of the ROK army and other branches gathered. Jhope, who is currently serving as an active-duty soldier, participated in the ceremony and became the centre of attention.
During the ceremony, photo sessions were held, and Jhope's presence added a special charm to the event. Military personnel eagerly lined up to take photos with the Kpop idol, who graciously posed with each group, sporting a warm smile throughout the sessions. His presence at the ceremony turned him into a celebrity among the attendees, with many fans flocking to get themselves clicked with the artist.

Jhope enlisted in the military on April 18, 2023, along with other BTS members, as part of their mandatory military service obligations. Despite his busy schedule, Jhope recently released his album 'HOPE ON THE STREET Vol. 1', accompanied by a documentary series of the same name. The documentary series, currently available for streaming on Prime Video, chronicles Jhope's journey as a dancer, showcasing his passion and dedication to his craft.
As part of the album's release schedule, BIGHIT MUSIC arranged pop-up stores in various locations across South Korea. During one of these pop-ups, Jhope visited and took the time to capture snapshots of all the messages left by ARMYs (BTS' fanbase) there.
Taking to Weverse, an online platform by HYBE for fan and idol interactions, Jhope expressed his gratitude for the fans' messages. He thanked them for their love and support and vowed to meet them again in good health after his discharge from the military. His heartfelt message touched the hearts of fans, who eagerly await his return.
