BTS Jimin Military Service: BTS member Jimin kickstarted his mandatory military service with Jungkook on December 12. It is a bittersweet feeling for BTS ARMY around the world as Jimin will return in 2025. Jimin's father, Jhope and Suga were present to say goodbye to the 'Face' singer. His father has now posted an unseen picture from the farewell on social media and thanked fans for showing their love and support towards his son. Fans thanked Jimin's father for sharing the special moment with them.

Sharing the picture on Instagram, Jimin's father wrote in the caption, "Hello, I'm ZM-illennial. I sent my son well. Your support gave Jimin a lot of strength. I heartily thank you.”

As per reports, Jimin and Jungkook will receive training together within the Companion Soldiers program at the same basic training centre. It was also reported that Jin is also part of the same training centre.

On the work front, Jimin released his first-ever solo album 'Face'. While talking about working on his song and album, Jimin revealed that he was lost and depressed. “'Set Me Free Pt. 2' was created when I was feeling lost and depressed. I was determined to overcome those feelings and this song conveys those emotions,” he said.

He added, "I think I wanted to express that emotion in the choreography as well. So the choreo turned out to be very intense like this but the people I’m working with are doing such a good job, I’m the only one I should be worried about."

The singer achieved several milestones in 2023 including becoming the fastest K-pop soloist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. His solo songs include OST for 'Our Blues', his collaboration with BIGBANG’s Taeyang for the latter's song ‘VIBE’, ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, the five-track release album ‘FACE’ and 'Angel Pt.1' and 'Angel Pt. 2' for the film 'Fast X'.
