BTS Jungkook has stepped forward with an extraordinary act of generosity, donating 1 billion KRW (approximately INR 5.82 crore) to help those affected by the devastating wildfires in South Korea’s Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam regions. His contribution, announced by the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association on March 28, is the largest known donation by a public figure for the cause.
Jungkook’s donation aims to provide immediate relief to residents who have lost their homes and to improve the working conditions for firefighters battling the flames. Half of the amount will be used for emergency aid and supplies, while the other half will go toward enhancing safety measures for those on the front lines.
Expressing his support for the victims and relief workers, Jungkook shared a heartfelt message:
"I hope this will be of some help to those who are exhausted and struggling. I sincerely wish for the affected people and firefighters to regain their peaceful daily lives soon."

Jungkook isn’t the only BTS member supporting the wildfire relief efforts. Jhope, RM and SUGA have also contributed, each donating 100 million KRW. J-Hope and RM directed their donations to Hope Bridge, while SUGA chose to support the Korean Red Cross. This isn’t the first time Jungkook has made a significant charitable contribution. In 2023, he donated 1 billion KRW to Seoul National University Children's Hospital to aid low-income children in need of medical treatment.
