BTS Jungkook has finally received his long-awaited blue verification tick on the social media app Tik Tok, officially confirming his account. The singer has also updated his bio, allowing fans to easily identify his account. Jungkook accidentally shared his TikTok profile during a Weverse live session, as he posted a link to a TikTok video featuring ENHYPEN’s Jungwon and Jay participating in his ‘SEVEN’ dance challenge. The singer also complimented their dance skills.
However, when some of his fans opened the link, a pop-up message appeared saying, ‘Join Ian on TikTok’ revealing Jungkook’s private account to everyone. Fans started to tease their idol and asked him questions like ‘Are you Kore-Ian?’ Jungkook thus cutely reacted to fans asking them not to make fun of him.

The name Ian used by Jungkook is not a coincidence. In an episode of ‘Knowing Brothers’, BTS members disclosed their stage names they had considered before making their debut. Jungkook shared that he had almost chosen the names Tattoo and Seagull, but later on included Ian which didn't make the final selection.

It's so funny how jungkook is more concerned about the name Ian than the tiktok account itself😭

Interestingly, despite not making the final stage name, Ian found its way to the idol’s alternate universe, specifically in the ‘BT21’ world. Ian is the name of Jungkook’s character Cooky’s rival from the group ‘AT21.’ The character looks similar to Cooky except for having a different shade of pink and black ears. Jungkook also revealed that Cooky and Ian were good friends but had a fallout eventually.

After fans discovered his TikTok ID, Jungkook changed his username to @letjungcook7, which stood out of the crowd and made it easier for fans to locate the kpop singer. Now, following the impersonator incident, Jungkook has been verified on TikTok with a blue checkmark. His songs have also been linked to his profile after the singer got verified. His bio thus read ‘Jungkook of BTS’, reaffirming his true identity.
