Grammy Awards 2025: The Kpop industry is buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Major acts like BTS, TWICE and BLACKPINK have submitted their music for various categories, vying for recognition on one of the world’s most prestigious stages. Fans are particularly hopeful that the solo projects of BTS members may pave the way for Kpop's mainstream acceptance, even as the group has yet to secure a Grammy win.

BTS members are making strong submissions for the upcoming Grammys, showcasing their individual artistry. Jungkook is entering his solo project Golden for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while his single Standing Next To You is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. His collaboration 3D has also been submitted for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Other members are equally ambitious in their submissions. RM’s album Right Place, Wrong Person aims for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, with his song Lost competing for Record of the Year and other major categories. Jhope is also in the running with Hope On The Street Vol 1 and Jimin's Muse is being submitted for similar accolades. V’s track FRI(END)S is poised to make an impact, further solidifying their individual strengths outside the group.

In addition to BTS, TWICE is competing with their album With YOU-tH, submitted for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while their single ONE SPARK is also in the running for multiple awards. BLACKPINK’s Lisa is showcasing her talent with two significant entries: her song New Woman and her solo track Rockstar, both vying for high-profile categories.

Despite BTS not winning a Grammy in the past, fans are optimistic about the impact of these solo projects. Many believe that even if just one member secures a win, it will symbolize a victory for BTS as a whole. Supporters are vocal on social media, expressing that any recognition received by a BTS member is a step forward for the entire group and Kpop as a genre.

The Grammy submission process involves several steps to ensure fairness and integrity. It begins with artists and record companies submitting their recordings for consideration. These entries undergo eligibility screening by a panel of experts to ensure they meet specific criteria. Following this, voting members of the Recording Academy participate in the nomination process, which determines the final nominees in each category.

Once the nominations are announced, Academy members vote again to decide the winners, with ballots being tabulated by an independent accounting firm. The winners are then celebrated during the Grammy Awards ceremonies, where the recording with the most votes in each category takes home the coveted Grammy Award.
