BTS RM is ready to captivate fans once again with the release of his fourth music video from his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person. This new track, Domodachi, featuring the British rapper Little Simz, is already generating buzz with its intriguing concept and dynamic collaboration.
On May 30, three visually striking posters for Domodachi were released on BIGHIT MUSIC’s official Twitter account. The posters, rich in symbolism and artistic flair, set the stage for the music video's release. According to the announcement, the video will premiere on May 31 at midnight KST (May 30, 8:30 p.m. IST / 11 a.m. ET).
Domodachi marks the fourth music video from RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person, following the previously released Come Back to Me, LOST! and Groin including a live video for Nuts, this will be RM’s fourth video from the album.
Released as part of the full album on May 24, Domodachi features clever wordplay using the Japanese words Domo (casually meaning "thanks") and "Tomodachi" (meaning "friends"). Together, they translate to "Thanks, Friends." However, the song's tone is far from straightforward gratitude. Instead, it carries a sarcastic edge, addressing those who pretend to be friends but lack genuine loyalty. RM's lyrics, blending English, Korean, and Japanese, offer a gritty exploration of friendship, betrayal, and camaraderie.
Little Simz's energetic contribution adds depth to the track, making 'Domodachi' a standout B-side on the album. The high tempo and intense delivery complement RM's reflective yet rebellious lyrics, creating a song that resonates on multiple levels.
Right Place, Wrong Person is a testament to RM's artistic growth and experimental approach. The album includes 11 tracks:
1. LOST!
2. Come Back to Me
3. Right People, Wrong Place
4. Nuts
5. Out of Love
