BTS had etched its name in the record books, becoming the first band in MAMA Awards history to accumulate an impressive 50 trophies, solidifying its position as the most awarded act in the ceremony's prestigious history. The group's dominance in the Daesang category was unparalleled, having amassed a staggering total of 74 wins across both MAMA and other major award ceremonies. Despite navigating the challenges of individual members pursuing solo projects and fulfilling mandatory military service, BTS had proven to be an unstoppable force, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry. 

Through their unparalleled global influence and unwavering support from their devoted fanbase, the ARMY, BTS had carved out a path of historical significance, forever changing the landscape of Kpop and cementing its legacy as one of the most influential and successful groups of all time.

BTS' historic victory at the 2023 MAMA Awards was tempered by bittersweet news as the group embarked on a new chapter marked by military enlistment. On November 22, BIGHIT MUSIC revealed that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had initiated the mandatory military enlistment process, joining Jin, Jhope, and SUGA, who are already serving their duties. Jungkook shared a heartfelt letter confirming his impending enlistment, infusing the celebration of BTS' record-breaking wins with a sense of nostalgia and emotional resonance. 

As the group's journey continues amidst military service, their legacy and impact remain unwavering, solidified by their unprecedented achievements in the music industry. So far, Jin and Jhope have been discharged from the military, while other members continue to serve until their discharge.
