Chandramukhi 2 Box Office Collection: Kangana Ranaut’s Thriller Maintains Steady Pace On Day 4; Inches Towards Rs 30 Crore Mark

‘Chandramukhi 2’ is helmed by P Vasu and stars Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The film also features Lakshmi Menon and is a horror-comedy which is sequel of the 2005 ‘Chandramukhi’ starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika and was a blockbuster at the box office. The film hit theatres on September 28 and witnessed a box office clash with ‘Fukrey 3’, ‘The Vaccine War’, and ‘Kannur Squad.’

On Day 4, the film earned Rs 6.25 Crore, while on Day 3 the film raked Rs 5.05 Crore. The total collection of the film stands around Rs 23.90 Crore, and will soon enter the Rs 30 Crore mark. However, the Hindi version did not even cross Rs 1 Crore at the box office. On Day 4, the Telugu and Hindi versions collected Rs 0.9 Crore and Rs 0.1 Crore respectively.

The Tamil occupancy on Sunday in theatres for ‘Chandramukhi 2’ was around 46.79 percent, and registered the highest occupancy in its evening shows. The film also stars Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Subiksha Krishnan, and Vadivelu in key roles.

‘Chandramukhi 2’ is made on a budget of Rs 60 Crore and is produced by Lyca Productions. Rajinikanth also witnessed the film and hailed Raghava Lawrence’s performance in the film. Sharing his opinion he wrote, “My best wishes to director P Vasu for presenting his biggest blockbuster Chandramukhi in a completely new angle as a great entertainer to cinema lovers, and to Raghava Lawrence for his wonderful acting and the entire team." During the promotions of the film Lawrence was seen touching Rajinikanth’s feet via a photo in order to fill his shoes.
