Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal starrer historical action drama movie hit the screens on February 14 and received positive reviews from both audience and the critics. It was one of the most anticipated historical drama movies since its announcement. Which made waves after the first look followed by the teaser was released. The movie opened on a strong note and became the biggest opener of this year in Bollywood. The film beat Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force which had an opening of Rs 12.25 crore. Seeing the opening day collection of Chhaava, it can be assumed that the film will continue to perform better in the coming weekend. 

Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1

As per Sacnilk, Chhaava earned Rs 33.10 crore on Day 1. It had an overall 42.02 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday. The movie had 30.51 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 34.50 per cent in the afternoon shows, 40.51 per cent in the evening shows and 62.55 per cent in the night shows.  

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh even predicted that the film might cross Rs 100 crore mark by day 3 (on Sunday). He wrote on X, "#Chhaava ROARS and THUNDERS... Opens to a phenomenal response. Emerges as the biggest opener of 2025 *so far*. Marks the biggest *opening day* for #VickyKaushal, surpassing the *Day 1* biz of #BadNewz, his biggest opener, by a wide margin. #Chhaava was sensational in #Maharashtra and gained strong momentum in other circuits - especially in #NorthIndia - as the day progressed… In fact, several early morning [6 am] and midnight [11.55 pm] shows in #Maharashtra were packed to capacity - such is the hype. Of course, the #ValentinesDay factor also contributed to its terrific opening, but a strong start was on the cards given the exceptional advance bookings. Chhaava Budget

As per several reports, Vicky Kaushal’s historical action drama movie was made on a budget of Rs 190 crore. 

About Chhaava 

The story follows the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. His struggles and contribution to the nation. The movie features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Pradeep Rawat, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopalam and Vineet Kumar Singh in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The music of the film has been given by AR Rahman. 

Notably, Vicky Kaushal played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite and Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.
