Chhaava: Only a few days are left for the release of the highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie has generated a lot of buzz among the audience with its soundtracks and gripping storyline. The cast is actively promoting the film. Ahead of the film's release, set for February 14, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly made a few modifications, including muting the word ‘haramz*ada’, some dialogues, and more.

Chhaava underwent several modifications during the censor process, according to Bollywood Hungama's latest report.

One dialogue in the film, “Mughal sultanat ka zehar” (Mughal empire’s poison), has been replaced with “Uss samay, kayi shaasak aur sultanat khud ko zinda rakhne ki koshish kar rahe the (At that time, many rulers and empires were trying to keep themselves alive)."

Another modification requested by the CBFC was to change “Khoon toh aakhir Mughalon ka hi hai (The blood is of the Mughals after all)" to “Khoon toh hai Aurang ka hi (It’s Aurang’s blood)."

Words like haramz*adon’ and ‘haramz*ada’ have been muted. The word 'Aameen' has been replaced with 'Jai Bhavani.' The Chhaava makers were also asked to make several other changes.

Reports suggest that the CBFC instructed the makers of Chhaava to remove a scene depicting Maratha warriors wearing sarees. Additionally, the makers were asked to include an audio-text disclaimer, mentioning that the movie is adapted from a book and clarifying that it does not aim to defame anyone or present inaccurate historical facts.

Chhaava received the CBFC green signal on February 1, 2025. The Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has earned a 'UA 16+' rating and has a certified runtime of 161 minutes and 50 seconds, which translates to 2 hours, 41 minutes and 50 seconds.
