The historical drama Chhaava unveiled its first song, Jaane Tu, in Hyderabad, marking the start of its musical journey. Lead stars Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna launched the song, which captures the eternal love story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Maharani Yesubai. The enchanting song Jaane Tu is a masterpiece crafted by the revered music composer A.R. Rahman, whose iconic melodies have stood the test of time and effortlessly bridged genres.

The soulful vocals of Arijit Singh bring depth and passion to the song, perfectly complementing the poignant lyrics penned by the talented Irshad Kamil. Vicky Kaushal shared the song on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Some bonds are beyond time, beyond words, etched forever in history.Presenting #JaaneTu - a musical tribute to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Maharani Yesubai.Composed by @arrahman, sung by @arijitsingh, and penned by @irshadkamilofficial.”

About Chhaava: Chhaava, an upcoming Indian Hindi-language historical action film, is set to bring the legendary life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to the big screen. The movie, which translates to Lion Cub, will see Vicky Kaushal essaying the titular role of Sambhaji Maharaj. Interestingly, Chhaava is an adaptation of the acclaimed Marathi novel Chhaava penned by Shivaji Sawant, which provides a rich and detailed account of the king's life.

Helmed by renowned director Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The production team embarked on an extensive pre-production phase in April 2023, meticulously preparing for the filming process. Principal photography commenced in October 2023 and wrapped up in May 2024.

The music composition for Chhaava is entrusted to the legendary A. R. Rahman, who is known for his iconic and soul-stirring soundtracks. The lyrics for the film's songs have been penned by the talented Irshad Kamil. With its release slated for February 14, 2025, Chhaava is poised to captivate the audience with its epic portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj's life, set against the backdrop of India's rich history and cultural heritage.
