“In Mumbai and Maharashtra, everyone knows about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Even if someone is not Maharashtrian, they have grown up seeing his influence. I come from a Punjabi family, but for us, too, Shivaji Maharaj is God. It’s something we’ve seen since childhood. In my building, there was a mural of Shivaji Maharaj at the gate, and it was garlanded every day. Our goal with this film is to create equal awareness about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and celebrate his bravery,” he explained.
