Chiranjeevi Dismisses Cancer Rumours: Renowned actor Chiranjeevi, widely acclaimed in the South, has garnered immense fame for his remarkable performances in films such as Indra, Swayamkrushi, Gang Leader, and many more. Amidst his busy schedule shooting for Bholaa Shankar, the actor took to social media to address rumours surrounding his alleged battle with cancer. Chiranjeevi swiftly dismissed these speculations by sharing the results of his medical tests, setting the record straight.

In a tweet, written in Telugu, Chiranjeevi emphasised the importance of raising awareness about cancer prevention. He recalled inaugurating a cancer centre and stressed the significance of regular medical tests in preventing the disease.

He wrote, "A while ago I spoke about the need to raise awareness about cancer while inaugurating a cancer center. I told you that cancer can be prevented if you undergo regular medical tests. I was alert and took a colon scope test. I said that non-cancerous polyps were detected and removed. I only said, ‘If I hadn’t done the test first, it would have turned out to be cancer’. That’s why everyone should take precautions and undergo medical tests/screening’, I only said."

He added, "But some media organizations did not understand this properly and started scrolling and web articles saying ‘I got cancer’ and ‘I survived due to treatment’. This has caused unnecessary confusion. Many well-wishers are sending messages about my health. This clarification is for all of them. Also, an appeal to such journalists. Don’t write nonsense without understanding the subject. Because of this, many people are scared and hurt."

In addition to Chiranjeevi, notable actors such as Tamannaah Bhatia, Rashmi Gautam, Vennela Kishore, Keerthy Suresh, Arjun Das, and Tulasi have been roped in for significant roles in the movie Bholaa Shankar. Chiranjeevi will be portraying the character of a protective brother to Keerthy Suresh in this commercial entertainer. The female lead in the film is played by Tamannaah. Initially, Sai Pallavi was considered for the role of Chiranjeevi's sister, but she was unable to say yes to the offer.

Bholaa Shankar, produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainment, is slated to release on August 11, 2023. In the meantime, Chiranjeevi is basking in the success of his recent film Waltair Veerayya, directed by KS Ravindra. The movie achieved a remarkable feat by entering the Rs 100 crore club within a week of its release last month, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. Alongside Chiranjeevi, the film also starred Shruti Haasan, Ravi Teja, Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha, and other talented actors in pivotal roles.
