Coromandel Express Train Accident: On June 2, the Coromandel Express, which travels from West Bengal's Shalimar Station to Chennai, collided with an Odisha-bound train's wrecked carriage. More than 280 people have already died in the tragedy, and over 900 are said to have been injured. Rescue efforts are in progress.

According to the Odisha Chief Secretary, Pradeep Jena, the recent train collision near the Bahanaga railway station in Balasore district involved not just two trains, but also a goods train, making it a triple train crash. The incident has shocked the nation as the news spread rapidly across the internet.

In response, numerous actors took to Twitter to express their heartfelt condolences and urged their fans and followers to extend their support to those affected by the tragic accident. Their messages aimed to mobilise assistance and solidarity for the victims in their time of need.

Taking to Twitter, Salman Khan wrote, "Really saddened to hear abt the accident. May God rest the souls of the deceased in peace,Protect n give strength to the families n the injured from this unfortunate accident."

Akshay Kumar remarked, "Heartbreaking to see the visuals from the tragic train accident in Odisha. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My thoughts and condolences to the families of the affected during this difficult time. Om Shanti."

Parineeti Chopra shared, "I'm praying for everyone involved in the horrible accidents in Odisha. Wishing for the families, friends and loved ones to find strength and heal as soon as possible. God bless everyone."

NTR Jr wrote, "Heartfelt condolences to the families and their loved ones affected by the tragic train accident. My thoughts are with each and every person affected by this devastating incident. May strength and support surround them during this difficult time."

Meanwhile Chiranjeevi urged fans to be available for any urgent demand for blood units. "Utterly shocked at the tragic Coromandel express accident in Orissa and the huge loss of lives! My heart goes out to the bereaved families. I understand there is an urgent demand for blood units to save lives. Appeal to all our fans and good samaritans in the nearby areas to extend all possible assistance for donating life saving blood units."
