Christopher Nolan after the immense success of Oppenheimer is gearing up for his next feature film in collaboration with Universal Pictures. Scheduled for release on July 17, 2026, this new project will see Nolan reunite with actor Matt Damon, who has previously starred in Nolan's films Interstellar (2014) and Oppenheimer (2023).

Oppenheimer, which tells the gripping story of J. Robert Oppenheimer and his pivotal role in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II, achieved significant acclaim, winning eight Oscars, including Best Director for Nolan and Best Actor for Cillian Murphy. The film's narrative explores the complex relationship between science and politics, emphasizing the moral dilemmas faced by those involved in the Manhattan Project.

This upcoming film marks a significant milestone for Nolan, as Oppenheimer was his first project outside of Warner Bros. in nearly two decades. At Warner Bros., he directed iconic films such as the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and Dunkirk.
