Coldplay’s lead vocalist Chris Martin delivered a heartfelt tribute to India during the band’s electrifying concert in Ahmedabad. The event, part of their Music of the Spheres India tour, was held at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on January 25 and 26. Midway through the high-energy performance, Chris Martin surprised the audience by taking a moment to connect deeply with the Indian crowd. Sitting at the piano, he played a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram and Maa Tujhe Salaam.
The emotional tribute left the audience spellbound, and as the last notes faded, the stadium erupted in thunderous applause. Chris ended the performance with a heartfelt “Salute to Mother India,” further endearing himself to fans.
Following the tribute, Chris returned to his guitar and performed some of Coldplay’s biggest hits, ensuring the energy in the stadium remained electric. The band’s Ahmedabad concert marked a significant stop in their India tour, which began in Navi Mumbai on January 18.
