The Madhya Pradesh High Court has sent a notice to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan regarding a petition filed against her latest pregnancy memoir titled 'Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible.' This notice comes after an advocate, Christopher Anthony, raised concerns about the use of the word 'bible' in the book's title. He said that the actress used the word to gain 'cheap publicity' for her book.
Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia, presiding over a single-judge bench, issued the notice based on Mr. Anthony's petition, which seeks to initiate legal action against Kareena Kapoor and the book's sellers. The court has requested a response from the actor regarding the inclusion of the word 'bible' in the title. Additionally, notices have been sent to the book's sellers for a ban on the book's sale.
Mr. Anthony, a social worker hailing from Jabalpur, has claimed in his petition that the inclusion of the word 'bible' in the title of the book is offensive to the sentiments of the Christian community. He stated, "Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan's pregnancy with the Bible."

Published in 2021, the book details the pregnancy journey of the Crew actress and offers advice for expectant mothers. Initially, the petitioner sought to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the actor with the police. However, when his request was declined, he pursued legal action by approaching a lower court to lodge a complaint against her.
His plea was dismissed by the court, which stated that his petition failed to demonstrate how the use of the term 'bible' in the title was offensive. Subsequently, Mr. Anthony appealed to the Additional Sessions Court, which also rejected his petition.
